Step 2: Do the bible study
Hebrews 4:12 is behind the song above - written out for you below. "For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Do you know what this means? Your playbook (bible) strategy: TO OBEY.

The Bible is not just any old playbook; it's an inspired playbook. It is literally God's Word, breathed-out to the writers of the scriptures, and in Hebrews 4:12 we see that the Words of the Bible are actually LIVING! This means that the words inside your bible are more than just words on a page - they are actually alive! When you read them, it is as if God is speaking directly to you. The words are from God, and He is alive, so the words of the Bible are living! And not only living, but ACTIVE. This means that on a daily basis we have the opportunity to read God's Word and quickly be affected by it. When we read the Words of the Bible, our thought and motives come into the clear. That is, we are able to tell if we are living our lives for ourselves, or living our lives for God.
